Tracks
A Gauge 1 running track needs a lot of space - a free-running oval takes around 15m x 7.5m or 45 feet x 23 feet to allow for 3m radius curves. As a result most G1 tracks are outside, and G1MRA members usually join one or more or our local groups to take advantage of invitations to run at members' homes.
The other way to find somewhere to run is to join a club with Gauge 1 interests: you'll find a list below.
G1MRA also has around a dozen portable tracks (though 'transportable' might be a better term since a trailer is usually needed to move them around) and groups arrange running days for their members where a track is put up in a rented hall. Our portables also appear at many events.
